The Highlands of Saint Michael
The Highlands is conveniently located in St. Michael, just northwest of the Twin Cities. This community has grown a lot in recent years, but still retains its small town charm and welcoming character. St. Michael is approximately 40 minutes drive from both Minneapolis and St. Cloud.
Schools
The Highlands is located in STMA District 885. Children in the neighborhood typically attend Big Woods Elementary, St. Michael-Albertville Middle School West, or St. Michael-Albertville Senior High School. There are also private educational opportunities nearby, such as St. Michael Catholic School.
Amenities
The Highlands Community Pool Area is open to all residents of the association. The community gathering place offers a pool area, ample seating and gazebo, including restrooms, secure entry, and adjoining playground and recreational/ball court areas.
Recreation
The Highlands neighborhood features several outdoor amenities, including a neighborhood pool, playground, basketball court, gazebo and picnic area.
St. Michael is a great community for outdoor recreation. The parks and recreation system allows residents to enjoy the area’s natural beauty. Just south of St. Michael on the Crow River lies Crow-Hassan Park Reserve, one of the largest units in the Three Rivers Park system. Two golf courses are within a short drive of the neighborhood. Fishing and water recreation are abundant in nearby lakes.
